The blaster uses air restrictors that have one prong rather than three. The SledgeFire features a direct plunger system. The shoulder stock was different, with its stored shells collapsed against the bottom of the stock. Rather than a Zombie Strike logo, it bears one for a "Zombie Hunter" series, suggesting that Zombie Strike may have been once known as Zombie Hunter. This version of the blaster was known as the Boomer Nova and had a few differences between it and the final version of the blaster.
